Transport Network The location of Sanctuary @ Newton offers its future residents an option to choose between the Novena MRT Station and the Newton MRT Interchange Station. It then curves in the south direction to Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Gombak and Bukit Batok before it ends at Jurong East.
The MRT Downtown Line is of mid-capacity. It is the fifth MRT service line of the MRT network. It is approximately 41.9 kilometres long and serves 34 MRT Stations currently. It currently runs from the Expo MRT Interchange Station that is in the eastern region to the Bukit Panjang MRT Station located in the North-West region through the Central Area. This MRT line generally runs in from the east to the west. This MRT line starts at the Changi Business Park then move northwards to the Tampines Regional Hub before it continues to parallel Ubi Avenue 1 and Ubi Avenue 2 to the Kaki Bukit and Kampong Ubi industrial estates the line then continues in the westwards direction generally to the Gelyang Bahru area. The MRT Line intersects between Jalan Besar MRT Station and Bencoolen MRT Station and goes southwest direction to Chinatown MRT Station which interchanges with the MRT North East Line.
The line then passes through Bayfront and Promenade MRT Interchange Stations which run parallels to MRT Circle line. It then leaves the downtown financial core to Bugis and Little India before leaving the Central Area and move towards the Bukit Timah and Upper Bukit Timah estates and then goes in the direction of the northwest to terminate at the Bukit Panjang MRT Station.
For future residents, at the Novena MRT Station, they just need to travel 3 MRT Stations towards the North direction to arrive at the Bishan MRT Interchange Station where they could easily transit to the MRT Circle Line. And on the opposite direction, the Orchard MRT Interchange Station is just 2 MRT Stations away. The MRT Thomson East Coast Line will be estimated to start its operations in 2022 at the Orchard MRT Interchange Station. The Dhoby Ghaut MRT Interchange Station which is one of the major MRT exchange in Singapore is 4 MRT Stations away from the Novena MRT Station. The Dhoby Ghaut MRT Interchange Station serves the MRT North east Line and the MRT Circle Line as well. Just 1 MRT station after the Dhoby Ghaut MRT Interchange Station will be the City Hall MRT Interchange Station follow by the Raffles Place MRT Interchange Station where both also operates the MRT East West Line.
