M Suites @ Kembangan

M Suites is an upcoming residential development that is a located in District 14, East Region of the island. The development is located along Lorong Melayu and is within the Kembangan planning area. It is is subzone of the bigger Bedok Housing Estate and Planning Area. In Malay, Kembangan literally means “expansion”. The neighbourhood make up of mostly private residential estates and some estates for public housing which is located alongside the Lengkong Tiga.  Other nearby developments includes La Mariposa, Rymden 77, 77 @ East Coast, Tedge Condo and Urban Treasures.

During the 1960’s the estate of Kembangan together with the wider district of Geylang were baldly hit by the racial riots and schools were also forced to close till the lifting of the curfews. Then in the 1980s, the estate underwent redevelopment with the demolishing of the Malay villages i.e. the Kampong Pachitan and the Kampong Kembangan which made way for the residential estate of the present day. Many roads of this neighbourhood were also rerouted, realigned and changed for the construction of the MRT station.

The Kembangan estate is served by a heartland shopping mall that is located next to the MRT Station and also those shophouses located in this area. There is also a park connector which will be leading to either to the East Coast Park or the Bedok Reservoir Park.  Future residents can also access to the more amenities that are located in the neighbourhood estates of Eunos and Chai Chee.

Transport Network
M Suites is approximately 500 m or 6 to 7 minutes’ walk away from the Kembangan MRT Station. This MRT Station which is serving the MRT East West Line is an above the ground MRT Station that is constructed in 1989. The MRT East West Line is of high-capacity is approximately 57.2 kilonmetres in length. It one of the 2 pioneering MRT service lines in Singapore and is also the longest serving 35 MRT Stations. This MRT service line connects the Western region of the island to the Central Area and then to the Eastern part of the island which includes to the Changi International Airport. It then runs through Eunos, Kembangan, Bedok and at Tanah Merah the route is spilt into 2 paths with one heading towards the Changi International Airport and the other heading towards Tampines before terminating at Pasir Ris.

For future residents of M Suties, they just need to travel 2 stations from Kembangan MRT Station towards Jurong East MRT Interchange Station direction to arrive at the Paya Lebar MRT Interchange Station which they could transit to the MRT Circle Line. The Kembangan MRT Station is also jut 6 MRT stations away from the Bugis MRT Interchange Station which also serves the MRT Downtown Line.
