Transport Network
Lumina Grand EC is approximately 1.3 km away from the Bukit Gombak MRT Station. This MRT station sits near to the intersection of Bukit Batok East Avenue 5 and Bukit Batok West Avenue 5. This MRT station is the closest one to Bukit Batok Town Park. This above the ground MRT station first started its operations in March 1990. It was initially planned as part of the MRT Branch Line and was later integrated into the MRT North South Line before the Woodlands Extension of the MRT North South Line went into operations.

The MRT North South Line is the first MRT service in Singapore. It began its services in November 1987. This MRT Line has high capacity in terms of commuting. It is approximately 43 kilometres in length and is serving 27 MRT station There will another 2 MRT stations that is currently under planning to be added to this MRT service line. As of current, 11 of the 27 MRT stations that are between Marina South Pier MRT Station and Bishan MRT Interchange Station are undergrounded and the rest will be above ground.

The MRT North South Line starts its route from the Western Region of the island to its Central Area in the South via the Northern part of Singapore and it forms an incomplete loop. The MRT North South Line starts its operations from the Jurong East MRT Interchange Station and then move ins a general north direction towards the Bukit Batok township with stopovers at the Bukit Batok MRT Station and the Bukit Gombak MRT Station.

The MRT service line then continues its journey towards Choa Chu Kang MRT Station. There will be a proposed additional MRT station that will be added in between Bukit Gombak and Choa Chu Kang MRT Station. It will then head towards Yew Tee MRT Station and the upcoming Sungei Kadut MRT Station. At Sungei Kadut MRT Station, the MRT service line will then curve eastwards towards the northern residential districts with stopovers at the Kranji MRT Station the Marsiling MRT Station and then the Woodlands MRT Interchange Station, which also interchanges with the MRT Thomson East Coast Line. It continues to Admiralty MRT Station and then to the Sembawang MRT Station.

At Sembawang MRT Station, the MRT service line will tilt towards the south direction and moves to the Canberra MRT Station, the Yishun MRT Station and the Khatib MRT Station. The MRT service line continues to move towards the Central Region mature residential estates with stops at the Yio Chun Kang MRT Station, the Ang Mo Kio MRT Station and then the Bishan MRT Interchange Station which is also the interchange for the MRT Circle Line.

It moves further south wards to the Toa Payoh estate and then to the city fringe area with stops at the Novena MRT Station and the Newton MRT Interchange Station which also operates the MRT Downtown Line. And via the Newton MRT Interchange Station, it enters the downtown core into the Orchard MRT Interchange Station which also operates the MRT Thomson East Coast Line and further down to the Somerset MRT Station before it reaches one of the major transportation hubs of Singapore’s MRT network i.e. the Dhoby Ghaut MRT Interchange Station. This MRT Interchange Station also operates both the MRT North East Line as well as the MRT Circle Line.

The MRT service line then enters into the civic district and the financial centre with stopovers at the City Hall MRT Interchange Station and the Raffles Place MRT Interchange Station, both are also interchange for the MRT East West Line. It then continues moving south towards the Marina Bay MRT Interchange Station and finally terminates at the Marina South Pier MRT Station.

For future residents of Lumina Grand EC, they just need to travel 2 MRT stations towards the direction of towards the direction of Jurong to arrive at the Jurong East MRT Interchange Station where they could easily transit to another comprehensive MRT service line, i.e. the MRT East West Line. The MRT East West Line is of high capacity and is currently the longest service line in the MRT network. It is approximately 57.2 kilometres long and serves 35 MRT stations.

This MRT line connects the eastern parts of the island to the western parts via the central area with stops in the western industrial estates of Tuas, Joo Koon and Pioneer to the western residential estates in Boon Lay and Jurong. It then connects to the University town of Clementi and toward the R&D hub, Buona Vista before heading to the city fringe residential estates of Queenstown, Redhill and Tiong Bahru. The service line then moves into the downtown core and then towards Paya Lebar and the eastern residential areas of Bedok, Tampines and Pasir Ris.

The Jurong East MRT Interchange Station is also the interchange for the upcoming MRT Jurong Region Line will be starting its operations between 2027 and 2029. This MRT service line will be serving a total of 24 MRT stations. Its coverage will be the Jurong zone and other western regions of Singapore, covering areas like the Pandan Reservoir, the Peng Keng Hill, the Jurong Pier and the Choa Chu Kang.
