Transport Network
With Singapore beginning to transform itself to a car-lite nation, The Giverny Residences strategic locality near to the MRT network allows its future resident to commute using 2 major MRT service lines to their preferred locations.

The site of The Giverny Residences is very close to the Stevens MRT Station. It is approximately 200 m or a mere 3 to 4 minutes’ walk from the development. It is currently operating the MRT Downtown Line. This MRT station will eventually become an interchange station once it adds the MRT Thomson East Coast Line to its services. The Stevens MRT Station is fully underground and located at the boundaries of the Tanglin and Novena Planning areas. It is in the junction of the Bukit Timah Road and Stevens Road. The MRT Downtown Line is a MRT service line that is of medium capacity. This MRT line started its operation at the Stevens MRT Station in 2015. It is the fifth service line to be added to the MRT network of Singapore. This MRT service line is approximately 42 kilometres in length and is currently serving 34 MRT stations. This fully underground MRT service line travels generally from the east to the west regions of Singapore via the downtown core of Singapore.

The route of this MRT service line started from the town of Bukit Panjang that is located in Singapore’s northwest region and via the downtown core to reach the east part of the Tampines town and terminates at the Singapore Expo. There will be a proposed extension from the Bukit Panjang MRT Station to the Sungei Kadut area.

From the Bukit Panjang MRT Station, it moves in the direction of the Southeast and will stopover at the Cashew MRT Station, the Hillview MRT Station and the Beauty World MRT Station. There will also be an infill Hume MRT Station in the pipeline between the route from the Hillview MRT Station to the Beauty World MRT Station.

The MRT service line then enters into the Bukit Timah area via the King Albert Park MRT Station.It then runs in parallel to the Upper Bukit Timah and alongside the cannal of Bukit TImah. During this route, it will stopover at the Sixth Avenue MRT Station, the Tan Kah Kee MRT Station, the Botanic Gardens MRT Interchange Station (which also interchanges the MRT Circle Line), the Stevens MRT Station.

It then heads towards the Newton MRT Interchange Station and enters the central area via the Little India MRT Interchange Station. It then stopover at the Rochor MRT Station, the Bugis MRT Interchange Station (which also interchanges with the MRT East West Line), the Promenade MRT Interchange Station and the Bayfront MRT Interchange Station. Both the Promenade MRT Interchange Station and the Promenade MRT Interchange Station also runs the MRT Circle Line.

The MRT service line then stopovers at the Downtown MRT Station, the Telok Ayer MRT Station and the Chinatown MRT Interchange Station (which also operates the MRT North East Line). It then continues in a east direction at the Fort Canning MRT Station and stopovers at the Bencoolen MRT Station, the Jalan Besar MRT Station, the Bendemeer MRT Station, the Geylang Bahru MRT Station and the Mattar MRT Station.

It then leaves the central region via the Macpherson MRT Interchange Station and heads into Kampong Ubi industrial estates stopping over at the Ubi MRT Station and the Kaki Bukit MRT Station. The MRT service line then goes into Bedok with stopovers at the Bedok North MRT Station and the Bedok Reservoir MRT Station before it heads into the Tampines town. It will stop at Tampines West MRT Station, the Tampines MRT Interchange Station (location in Tampines Region Centre) and the Tampines East MRT Station. It continues its journey to the Upper Changi MRT Station before terminating at the Expo MRT Interchange Station which is also the station service Changi Airport Line. An extension is in place to be completed in 2024 by adding 2 more MRT stations from the Expo MRT Station. These 2 stations are the Xilin MRT Station and the Sungei Bedok MRT Station which will then be the new terminus in the east for the MRT Downtown Line.

For drivers, they just need to drive less than 15 minutes to arrive at the Central Business District. The Orchard Shopping Belt is also just approximately 5 to 6 minutes’ drive away. The nearby main arterial roads i.e. the Bukit TImah Road and the Dunearn also allows drivers to be connected easily to the major expressways such as the Pan Island Expressway and the Central Expressway.
