Amber Sea is an upcoming residential project that is located in the East Coast area, East Region of the island. It is situated in the Katong/Marine Parade Planning Zone and is sitting along the Amber Gardens. The site of the development is surrounded by Vertis, Amber Residences and bounded by The Esta that is along Amber Gardens and The Seaview that is along Amber Road.
Amber Gardens is at the core of the Marine Parade and Katong Estate. This neighbourhood traditionally has been known as one of top upscale estates for Singapore’s private residences and has rich heritage culture. When it comes to value, the District 15 is not too far away from those prime estates of district 9, district 10 and district 11. This area also houses a number of Good Class Bungalows.
This area, especially in the enclave of Joo Chiat and Katong, also has its very own special characteristics that are appealing to home buyers. It has its following of both local residents as well as expatriates.
The site of Amber Sea has previously belonged to Amber Glades. It is just a block away from Amber Park which has successful launch and sold more than 100 units of its total 592 units during the launch day itself.
This land parcel was successfully acquired by Far East Organization via a collective sale exercise in back in March 2011. Amber Glades, a private residential of mid-size, comprised of 2 blocks 10 storey high apartments. The site is approximately 40,917 square feet with gross plot ration of 2.8. Although the plot size of Amber Sea is smaller than Amber Park, Meyer Mansion and Amber 45, it is somehow larger than other recent nearby launch like Coastline Residences, One Meyer and Nyon.
The site of Amber Sea is almost rectangular in shape and its long frontage that is along Amber Gardens will be the North and North West facing. Those higher floors units that are facing the South West direction might be able to enjoy the sea views due the Chinese Swimming Club in front which is of low-rise. As the side is more inwards away from the highway, it will be cushioned from the heavy traffic noises.
The other directions of the site will be overlooking to other private residential developments in the area. But as it site is in the corner, it is not too edged in. There will be buffer spaces and setbacks from between Amber Sea and these developments, typically for those in the South eastern direction. Some units will enjoy the landscaping and pool views of the neighbouring larger development, The Sea View.
The locality of Amber Gardens, where Amber Sea is, is in the estate of Katong and Marine Parade, a prime and established private residential enclave. This area is thriving with rich Peranakan heritage and culture as well as gourmet that infuse the air itself.
It is not surprising that this area of the island has good followings from both expatriates as well as local residents. Other than the charming scene of the street food and life amongst the rows of conversation shophouses, it also offers other charming factors.
The East Coast Park and coastline is just minutes’ walk away which can be accessible using the underpass that cuts below the East Coast Parkway. Future residents can relax their minds with a stroll in the evening at the beach and maybe have their dinner there.
